Our vision
BIG Picture Launches a Filmmaker-First Creative Marketing and Distribution Company — Redefining How Films, Arts, and Entertainment Are Marketed, Released, and Experienced.
BIG Picture was created to address the shifting demographics in Canada’s cultural ecosystem: catering to connect powerful stories with the communities they represent. The company merges brand strategy, and experiential marketing to turn releases across film, arts, and entertainment into cultural moments — not just launches.
Authenticity and Impact
The BIG Picture model has already proven its success with Morningside, which achieved a 10-week nationwide theatrical run, powered by grassroots marketing, community partnerships, and word-of-mouth storytelling. This success demonstrated how a creator-first approach can turn independent projects into sustained, must-see events that resonate far beyond the screen.
Expanding Globally
Building on its Canadian success, BIG Picture’s international debut begins with the Morningside UK rollout on BBC (April 1 2026) — a campaign that serves as proof-of-concept for the company’s global, creator-first strategy. Each release is treated as a living brand, amplified through authentic storytelling, strategic partnerships, and audience-driven engagement.
Beyond its own slate of releases, BIG Picture operates as an agnostic creative marketing agency, offering filmmakers, artists, distributors and studios comprehensive support through campaign development, trailer strategy, design, branding, and experiential activations. By blending art, culture, and innovation, BIG Picture empowers creators to take ownership of their projects’ full life cycle — from production to public impact.
“Our mission is to help creators not just release projects, but build cultural movements around them. We’re putting creativity, authenticity, and audience connection at the core.”
Founded by Ron Dias, Joanne Jansen, Gavin Sheppard, and Craig Fleming, BIG Picture is bridging the gap between distribution, creative storytelling and authentic community engagement. Rather than a traditional distributor, the company acts as a brand-building partner — developing cultural campaigns that help films, artists, and entertainment projects connect deeply with diverse audiences.
